How you can help

FIE is supporting this summer's Climate Camp, to be held August 15 - 23 to highlight Ireland's peat burning power stations.

The Camp is for anyone who cares about climate change and wants to do something real about it. It is a space where people can gather, live, learn and take action together. The people putting together the Climate Camp are all volunteers, a mixed bunch of all ages, teachers, students, gardeners, media analysts, campaigners and many more.

The Camp is inspired by the energy and impact of the climate camps that have happened in the UK  and in Australia as well as the US and other countries over the past few years. Over the past months the Irish group has grown and agreed upon aims and principles.

They believe it's time to tackle the root causes of climate change - to explore the solutions - and live them.

How You Can Help

If you want to help:

Give time. We always need skillled help with all kinds of work experience.Tell us what you can offer and we will suggest jobs.

If you are willing to check local authority files on developments we are concerned about that would be a huge help.

We are developing a new only database for parts of the site to speed up retreival time. This means endless hours of creating new files and transfering them to the alternative server. We can use help with that.

If you want to make a donation towards our cost you are welcome to do so. Contact us. We can not offer tax advantages as we are not a charity. If we were a charity we would not be unable under the law to campaign for changes in the law, which is our prime objective.

Feedback about our work and about the website is also a form of help. Any comments about FIE and it's work or the structure or working of the website or search facilities to here...
